KSTU students of ship building took second place in the academic competition on strength of materials

This year the final round of XXXVI All-Russian student academic competition on strength of materials was held in Perm on September 12-17, 2016 at the premises of Perm national research polytechnic university.

Teams from the largest Russian universities: Bauman Moscow state technical university, National Research Nuclear University “Moscow engineering physical institute”, St.Petersburg state polytechnic university, Perm national research polytechnic university, Samara state airspace university named after S.P.Korolev, Kazan state university of architecture and engineering and many others, participated in the competition. The total number of participants- 58 people from 28 Russian universities.

Kaliningrad state technical university was represented by the student team: Aleksandr Motorin, Aleksandr Shinko, Artem Savelichev. The team was trained by the head of the department of ship building Aleksey Pritykin.

Following the result of the competition, KSTU team took II place in the Northwestern Federal District. Despite bad weather, students went on a guided tour round Perm which they immensely enjoyed. At the closing ceremony, all the participants received certificated and winners received pricez. The students will be preparing for the All-Russian competition on applied mechanics, which will take place in St.Petersburg in 2017.
