A postgraduate student from KSTU received a prize at «UL-INNOVO» competition

     On September 20- 22, 2017, the International Youth Scientific Forum "Youth and Science of the 21st Century" was held at Ulyanovsk State Agrarian University named after P.Stolypin. It gathered representatives of scientific youth from different regions of Russia and foreign countries, including students, graduate students and young scientists from different universities. Items of the agenda were topical issues related to setting the stage for realization of the country's intellectual potential. The international forum has become an effective platform for identifying talented youth, expanding international cooperation in the field of education and science, supporting scientific and technical creativity of young scientists. In the course of significant discussions, new interesting ideas and initiatives were developed, and the forum was established as an effective mechanism for multilateral cooperation.

     Within the framework of the forum an international competition of innovative projects of young scientists was held. The contest was held in two stages. At the first, absentia stage, scientific works of young scientists from the Russian Federation and CIS countries were considered, and the most promising ones were chosen based on the results of the competitive selection. At the second, in person stage, authors of the best works were invited to the Ulyanovsk State Agrarian University. Marina Belova, a postgraduate student of the department of food technology represented our university at the second stage. The contest committee consisted of the Skolkovo Foundation representatives and leading experts of the industry. As a result of the contest, Marina Belova received a third class diploma in the nomination "Best Innovative Project in the Field of Agricultural, Biological and Food Technologies".

     During the forum, participants discussed topical issues at the conference "Youth and Science of the XXI Century", became participants of a workshop, got acquainted with the university campus and its facilities, and explored Ulyanovsk and the boundless Volga.
