A.G. Mnatsakanyan met with representatives of the university community
The event, which took place at KSTU’s Boiling Point, brought together around 60 representatives from various student societies, foreign students, cadets and university staff. Discussing the most pressing issues facing the university has become a well-established tradition.
The conversation started with a question about Albert Gurghenovich’s most vivid memories of student life.
Cadets from the BFFSA then asked the Acting Rector about the development of a training base for practical maritime sports. In particular, for sailing and rowing in classic Yal-6 boats.
One of the questions was about trips within our region for students’ active leisure. In response, the Acting Rector noted that young researchers from the Student Scientific Society had already developed itineraries for such trips in both ecological and research formats. “It makes sense to combine the efforts of your public association and other scientific communities to organise high-quality and meaningful student leisure activities,” advised the acting rector.
Another question concerned the renovation of the dormitories on the student campus. According to A.G. Mnatsakanyan, renovation plans are already being discussed with higher authorities. The Acting Rector of the university spoke about the progress of renovation work inside the educational building No. 2 on Maly Pereulok and the prospects for renovation at other university facilities.
Students and cadets also asked if there would be a Mother and Child Room (Baby Care Room) at KSTU.
The students found out whether the university would continue upgrading its computer equipment to support modern technologies and improving its sports facilities.
At the end of the meeting, Albert Gurghenovich emphasised that the university administration is always open to direct communication. This year, we have already met with the KVN community, the Student Squad leaders, and young researchers from the Student Scientific Society. And such meetings will continue on a regular basis.
