The annual Profnavigator event took place at KSTU
On 1 February, KSTU hosted the Profnavigator event, organised by the KSTU Pre-University Projects Centre in collaboration with the institutes of the multidisciplinary educational institution and student activists.
The project was first implemented in January 2024, when it received a lot of positive feedback from participants.
This year, more than 350 schoolchildren and their parents attended the event at KSTU. Profnavigator took place in three academic buildings: main academic building, academic building No. 2 at KSTU and academic building No. 2 at the BFFSA. More than 20 discipline-related lecture rooms were used for the event.
In 2026, the programme was expanded with new topics and formats. Participants had a unique opportunity to take a test to determine the most suitable training direction for further education. The schoolchildren then took part in master classes and learnt more about the various areas of study offered by the university.
Masterclass topics:
- - The sweet life of plants;
- - Electrical installation;
- - Secrets of the colloidal world: creating nanoparticles with your own hands!
- - IT in mechanical engineering;
- - Scientific detective: What is Skittles' colour made of?
- - New Year's master class: exploring vitamin C in mandarins!
- - Digital technologies in agriculture;
- - Air temperature control;
- - Lord of the Rings;
- - Grow fish, big and small;
- - Chemistry of the aquatic environment;
- - GastroLab & FoodTech;
- - Safe agriculture;
- - Rendering first aid;
- - Land reclamation laboratory;
- - Create your own business;
- - Ensuring food security;
- - Master class in economics;
- - Understandable marketing.
For parents, a lecture format was used to present relevant information on admission and opportunities for higher education at KSTU.
We would like to express our gratitude to all participants of Profnavigator and look forward to seeing you again!
