Economics Knowledge League for school pupils of the region started at the Institute of Industry-Based Economics and Management

On 10 September 2026, a formal induction ceremony for the Economics Knowledge League took place at the Institute of Industry-Based Economics and Management. The project is being implemented as part of a grant from the Kaliningrad Region Ministry of Education entitled Economics Olympiad Training.

The main guests at the event were school pupils from the Kaliningrad Region enrolled in the supplementary general education programme Preparation of Students from General Education Institutions in the Kaliningrad Region for Participation in Interregional, All-Russian and International Events in 2026 in ‘Economics’, as well as their parents.

During the meeting, the organisers and lecturers from the institute provided a detailed overview of the course structure, the key stages of preparation for the country’s leading economics Olympiads, and the opportunities available to the students. The students’ parents could ask questions of the programme’s management and find out about support measures for talented young people.

Olympiad training programme is not just about lectures; it is a vibrant community of like-minded individuals, working with leading experts in the field, analysing the most complex case studies, and a real chance to make a name for themselves across the country.

The presence of parents at the ceremony underlined the importance of this new beginning: family support will form a sound foundation for future achievements.
