Four students and postgraduate students from KSTU were among the winners of the Student Start-up competition

Following the results of the All-Russian stage of the Student Start-up competition organised by the Innovation Promotion Fund, four students and postgraduates from KSTU were among the winners. This is the best result among higher education institutions in the Kaliningrad Region.

Technology entrepreneurship is one of the priority areas of KSTU’s strategic development. The university purposefully fosters an environment that transforms scientific research into marketable products by holding the annual GENERATION Z project and technology intensive and by operating the KSTU Boiling Point centre, student design bureaus, and project offices. Winning the Student Start-up competition confirms that our young researchers are capable of creating competitive solutions in IT, the agricultural sector, the fisheries and food industries, and life safety.

List of winners:

  1. Ivan Getmansky — Creation of a Competitive 2D Action Shooter with a Live Service (esports, gaming industry);
  2. Roman Sokolov — Creation of an Autonomous Emergency Access System for Specialised Firefighting Vehicles (safety, intelligent fire protection systems);
  3. Anna Salaeva — Development of a System for Remote Monitoring and Forecasting the Condition of Land Reclamation Systems on Agricultural Land (agricultural complex, digital agriculture);
  4. Vladimir Shatalov — Development of the Konkan Hardware and Software Complex with an Adaptive Control System (industrial automation).

All projects will receive grants of one million roubles each for development. Congratulations to the winners and best wishes for their successful implementation!
