Institute of Marine Technologies, Power Engineering and Construction awarded the highest number of honours diplomas
The Institute of Marine Technologies, Power Engineering and Construction graduates received higher education diplomas at a graduation ceremony held in the assembly hall of KSTU. This academic year, 87 graduates from the bachelor’s and master’s programmes received their diplomas from the institute.
The Acting Rector of KSTU, Professor A.G. Mnatsakanyan, Doctor of Economic Sciences, opened the ceremony with a welcoming address. He then presented 37 diplomas with distinction.
Next, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, V.I. Ustich, took to the stage. Vladimir Ivanovich presented diplomas to Master’s graduates in the programmes Shipbuilding, Ocean Engineering, System Engineering of Marine Infrastructure Facilities, Construction (module Design of Industrial and Civil Engineering Facilities) and Construction (module Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation).
Afterwards, lecturers from the Institute of Marine Technologies, Power Engineering and Construction addressed the graduates with words of encouragement: I.S. Aleksandrov, Professor of the Engineering Infrastructure for Capital Construction Objects Department; E.A. Chureev, Director of the Scientific and Educational Centre of Shipbuilding, Maritime Infrastructure and Equipment; R.A. Shestakov, Head of the Engineering Infrastructure for Capital Construction Objects Department; A.S. Lavrova, Acting Head of the Construction Department; V.A. Pimenov, Professor of the Construction Department; M.S. Kharitonov, Associate Professor of the Power Engineering Department; and A.G. Filonov, Associate Professor of the Power Engineering Department.
O.A. Belykh, Acting Director of the Institute of Marine Technologies, Power Engineering and Construction, was then invited onto the stage of the assembly hall. She addressed yesterday’s students with warm words and then presented diplomas to the bachelor’s degree graduates in the following training directions: Shipbuilding, Ocean Engineering, System Engineering of Marine Infrastructure Facilities, Electroenergetics and Electrical Engineering, Heat Power Engineering and Thermal Engineering, Construction (specialisation Industrial and Civil Engineering) and Construction (specialisation Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation).
Tamila Aliyeva and the KSTU Amalgamma vocal studio enlivened the graduation ceremony with creative performances, in keeping with tradition.
