KSTU and Beeline signed a cooperation agreement
Kaliningrad State Technical University and Beeline are launching a large-scale educational partnership aimed at training new generations of specialists. On November 6, KSTU held a ceremony in its main academic building to sign a cooperation agreement. The Acting Rector of KSTU, A.G. Mnatsakanyan, and the Deputy General Director and Head of the Technical Department at Beeline, V.V. Shorzhyn, signed the agreement.
As part of the partnership, the educational process will become more practical: students will be able to work with cases from Beeline's daily work, solve real problems that employees face, and undergo practical training. They will learn how Beeline specialists use artificial intelligence and Big Data technologies in network development, as well as test new national equipment.
The launch of the elective course Modern Mobile Communication Technologies will help immerse students in real work. Within the course, students will gain a foundation in telecommunications, learn about the structure of modern networks, and acquire practical skills in working with equipment.
At the signing ceremony, Acting Rector of KSTU A.G. Mnatsakanyan noted that today our university has gained a reliable industrial partner, and VimpelCom has gained an educational institution that is ready to provide personnel adapted to its standards. This includes various areas of training: computer technology, operation of transport radio equipment, information security, etc. Our graduate specialists will ultimately be in demand at the company. This is not only about practical training and apprenticeships, but also about their employment. In the future, we are planning to develop joint specialised laboratories at the university where students will be able to solve practical problems and include modules from our industrial partner in the educational programmes.
The company will also support university case competitions, evaluate teaching materials and participate in joint research. In addition, Beeline experts will speak at scientific forums and seminars, take part in final assessments, and help adapt educational programmes to the real challenges of the industry.
The Deputy General Director and Head of the Technical Department at Beeline, V.V. Shorzhyn, said, "We have been working with universities for a long time: we already have more than 30 partners throughout Russia. Cooperation with KSTU is of particular importance to us, as it is the main technical university in the Kaliningrad region. Many of its graduates already work for our company. We are confident that this partnership will benefit both parties, as we will not just invite students for practical training. We will also test their knowledge and conduct final assessments, involve them in research projects and introduce innovations to the educational process."
After the signing ceremony, Beeline employees met with students at the KSTU Boiling Point, talked about new trends in the company's work and answered numerous questions from the young people.
