Risk Busters are among the winners of the regional round of the Life Safety Olympiad
From March 3 to 5, the regional round of the All-Russian Student Olympiad on Life Safety took place at Empress Catherine II Saint Petersburg Mining University. Participants solved tests consisting of 50 different questions on life safety, performed practical situational tasks and defended their research projects. Seventeen teams from various universities in the Northwestern Federal District of Russia participated in the Olympiad. Our students successfully completed all stages of the Olympiad and defended their project in front of the jury members.
The Risk Busters student team was among the winners of the regional round of the competition. The team consists of Bogdan Zhirnov, Victoria Chernova, and Daria Borisova. Risk Busters was assisted by I.A. Filatova, Associate Professor of the Technosphere Safety and Environmental Engineering Department.
The award ceremony for the winners was held at the end of the final day of the Olympiad. The student team from KSTU took 3rd place in the team contest of the Testing stage. We congratulate the students on their successful debut in such a serious competition and wish them further success!
The Olympiad is held under the guidance of the Northwestern branch of the Federal Educational and Methodical Association in higher education for integrated groups of specialities and under the auspices of the Coordination Council of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation in the educational field of Engineering, Technology and Technical Sciences.
