Science Days hosted a discussion on machinery parts and tribology
On 20 April, a session of the Machinery Parts and Tribology section took place. They conducted the session in a hybrid format. Participants presented nine papers.
Following the section’s results, the jury selected the top three winners. First place went to students Anastasia Larina and Elizaveta Smirnova. They presented a report entitled Dynamic Vibration Absorber (Frahm Tuned Mass Damper). Research supervisor: Yu.N. Mamenko, Candidate of Engineering Sciences.
Second place went to Evgeny Tkachenko, who presented a paper entitled Development of an Approach to Calculating the Gearbox of a Drum Grinder in the Absence of Design Documentation and Technical Data. Research supervisor: N.A. Sereda, Candidate of Engineering Sciences.
Honourable third place was awarded to students Evgeny Dubinenko and Kirill Kuleshov for their paper Comparative Characteristics of Ship Propulsion Units. Research supervisor: V.G. Sukiassov, Candidate of Engineering Sciences.
Participants in the session received recommendations for the publication of their materials in the proceedings of the 5th International scientific and technical conference of students and cadets Science Days. The research supervisor of the Machinery Parts and Tribology section expresses his gratitude to the jury members, research supervisors and students for their participation in the section’s session.
The event is being held as part of a grant from the federal budget to higher education institutions for the implementation of activities aimed at supporting student scientific societies.
