The Construction Department participated in the forum ‘White Nights of CAD: Construction’

The Construction Department participated in the traditional forum dedicated to building information modeling technologies in construction.

N.V. Zasluzhnaya, Senior Lecturer at the Construction Department and Head of the Building Information Modelling programme, took part in the White Nights of CAD: Construction forum. The forum was held, as usual, at the end of May in St Petersburg. The event is dedicated to the digitalisation of the construction industry and the practical application of domestic software. Leading specialists from design companies, educational institutions and other representatives of the construction industry participated in the forum.

The digitalisation of processes in the construction industry is one of Russia’s priority areas for development, so the Construction Department pays particular attention to forming specific digital competencies among construction students. The active development of information modelling technologies has led to the launch of new bachelor's and master's degree programmes. In 2026, enrolment for the programmes Building Information Modeling Technologies in Construction (bachelor's degree) and Information Technologies in Construction (master's degree) was announced.
