Dear friends!
I sincerely congratulate all students and cadets of the KSTU university complex on Knowledge Day!
1 September marks the start of a new phase in the life of every educational institution within our university structure — KSTU, BFFSA, and Kaliningrad and St Petersburg Maritime Fishery Colleges.
On this day, the lecture rooms and corridors of our academic buildings will resonate with the voices of young people, infusing everything around us with new energy and life. A new academic year will begin, filled with hopes for new achievements and confidence in the future.
Today is a special occasion for our first-year students—their first day as students. We thank you for choosing our university.
Several significant dates mark this academic year for each of us. This year, our legendary sailing ships, the Sedov and the Kruzenshtern, celebrated their 105th and 100th anniversaries. The year 2026 marks the 130th anniversary of the founder of commercial fishery in our country, Doctor of Engineering Sciences Professor F.I. Baranov.
I would like to congratulate our lecturers—experienced and dedicated professionals—as well as our esteemed veterans on Knowledge Day. We wish you all excellent health, happiness, high spirits and new professional achievements!
