Future builders presented their research at the Science Days
On 24 April, a session of the Construction section was held as part of the 5th International scientific and technical conference for students and cadets Science Days. Representatives from Kaliningrad State Technical University, Moscow State University of Civil Engineering and St Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering delivered research presentations.
In total, students presented 17 reports. They covered various areas of construction science: the calculation, design, and reinforcement of structures; construction technology and organization; environmental and energy-saving issues; architectural design; and the use of modern information technologies in construction.
Colourful and informative slide shows accompanied all presentations. The reports generated considerable interest and lively discussions. The students received recommendations from the jury and leading lecturers on how to improve their future research and prepare academic papers.
Based on the results of the session, the places were awarded as follows:
1st place — A. Kostandova, academic supervisor: K. Yu. Losev, Candidate of Engineering Sciences (Moscow State University of Civil Engineering);
2nd place — V. Sinyukova, A. Shilova, academic supervisor: A.S. Lavrova, Candidate of Engineering Sciences (KSTU);
3rd place — I. Andreev, academic supervisor: Yu.A. Guryeva, Candidate of Engineering Sciences (SPbGASU- Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering).

The event is being held as part of a grant from the federal budget to higher education institutions for the implementation of activities aimed at supporting student scientific societies.
