Students from the Institute of Digital Technologies went on a tour of KODE’s offices. The visit formed part of the Real IT Sector career guidance programme, designed to give students an inside look at how a high-tech business operates.

The first thing the students noticed was the space’s ergonomics and functionality. At KODE, they rejected the standard open-plan layout in favour of hybrid zones.

Company representatives highlighted key trends in work organization—the combination of remote work and face-to-face communication. At KODE, they believe that the best solutions arise from face-to-face interaction, but they also value their employees’ time management.

The students were shown real dashboards with development cycles (CI/CD) and were explained how code reviews work and why the company practises developing a system of after-work events.

The most highly anticipated part was the meeting with KODE’s HR department. Together with the students, they discussed the most common mistakes made by young professionals and explained what they expect from future employees. The HR department also informed the students about the apprenticeship system and the opportunities to combine the work at the company with their studies.

The administration of the Institute of Digital Technologies would like to thank the company’s HR department for organising the event.
