III Congress of the Rosrybolovstvo Youth Council concludes its work

We continue to report on the participation of KSTU staff in the III Congress of the Rosrybolovstvo Youth Council, which began on 12 August in Nizhny Novgorod. This year, it is being held at the KUPNO.START complex.

Throughout the educational forum, an exhibition was on display featuring the work of Kaliningrad photographers, including Vladislav Kosyak from the KSTU press office, renowned photographer Vasily Semidyanov, and marine artist Vladimir Levkov; they dedicated their work to the legendary sailing ships Kruzenshtern and Sedov. The administration of KSTU organised the exhibition.

Yesterday, V.A. Volkogon delivered a lecture to the congress delegates entitled The Image of a Young Specialist in the Fisheries Complex. Career Prospects in the Fisheries Industry Based on the Personal Success Story. Vladimir Alekseevich, drawing on the example of his own professional career – which began with his days as a cadet at Kaliningrad Maritime Fishery College – explained to young professionals how to build a career that would lead to a high-ranking management position.

Today, as part of the Open Dialogue, V. Yu. Nikolin, the captain of the sailing training ship Sedov, addressed the congress delegates – young staff members from state-funded organisations of the Federal Agency for Fishery. The meeting took place in Aleksander Nevsky Hall. The captain of the sailing ship introduced the audience to the 105-year history of the four-masted barque, spoke about the particularities of service on board, and described the long-distance voyages undertaken by the Sedov over the past decade. The sea captain then answered numerous questions from the forum participants.

Today, the III Congress of the Rosrybolovstvo Youth Council will conclude its work. We are confident that the performances by the creative group of staff from KSTU and the exhibition of paintings and photographs will leave an unforgettable impression on the event participants.
