KSTU staff member participated in the Rosrybolovstvo Youth Forum
Yesterday, the III Congress of the Rosrybolovstvo Youth Council started in Nizhny Novgorod. More than 100 young civil servants, scientists, and employees of state-funded organisations of the industry are taking part. Ioanna Chugunova, a laboratory assistant at the Water Bioresources and Aquaculture Department, also attended the congress. She is a member of the Rosrybolovstvo Youth Council.
Together with her colleagues, Ioanna is taking part in a strategic workshop, lectures and joint project development, where young people learn to make decisions, share responsibilities and achieve results.
The aim of the teamwork at the congress is to develop a model for the Youth Council, which will then be integrated into the Federal Agency for Fishery (Rosrybolovstvo) system as a talent pool.
I.V. Shestakov, the Head of Rosrybolovstvo, addressed the participants with a welcome speech, emphasising that the Youth Council of Rosrybolovstvo has already established a foundation of important initiatives, many of which have been implemented.
Participants at the youth forum are exchanging experiences and views on common objectives, gaining insights from veterans of the fisheries sector. This collaborative approach fosters a future-ready talent pool for the industry.
