Our athletes became champions of the Kaliningrad Region University Spartakiad

On August 5th, a ceremony took place at the Kaliningrad Regional Drama Theatre, marking the All-Russian sports festival Physical Culture Day. Athletes, coaches, sports organisations and all those who make a special contribution to the development of physical culture and sport in the region were honoured on stage.

The ceremony also summed up the results of the annual regional University Spartakiad for the 2025–2026 academic year. Students and cadets from seven higher education institutions took part in 14 sports. In the overall team rating, the team of KSTU became champions in the men’s competition and silver medalists in the women’s.

The Minister for Sport, N.S. Ishchenko, presented certificates of Master of Sport of Russia to two students from the university: Sofia Rozhnova and Mikhail Panfenov. The Acting Rector of KSTU, A.G. Mnatsakanyan, and the Director of the Sports Club, G.D. Medvedev, represented our university at the ceremony.

We congratulate students, cadets, the Physical Education Department and the Sports Club of KSTU on the successful conclusion of the sporting season.
