KSTU launches the Amber Master’s Programme

Next year, KSTU is launching a Master’s programme in Chemical Biotechnology. Graduates who complete the Master’s programme will pursue careers in fields ranging from education and science to chemical and technological industries.

Students will learn more about developing technologies for processing waste from amber production and hydrobionts using biotechnology, improving biotechnological processes for the production of biologically active substances, and managing product quality within an organisation.

Master’s graduates will be able to critically analyse problematic situations by using a systems-based approach and develop strategies for action. They will also work on developing technologies for the advanced processing of waste as secondary resources, formulating proposals for optimising biotechnological processes and managing the production of biotechnological products, and much more.

The programme offers students undertaking it on a full-time basis the opportunity to obtain the additional qualification of Biotechnology Production Chemist free of charge.

The intramural form of study comprises 3,240 academic hours. The extramural form of study programme lasts for 2 years and 6 months.

This training programme will be presented at the Baltic Maritime Forum, which will take place at KSTU from 28 September to 2 October.
