KSTU student to compete in the Russian ICPC Championship
Vladislav Fomenko, a student studying Applied Informatics, competing as a member of the Kaliningrad Region regional team, ranked among the top participants of the North-Western Federal District Competitive Programming Championship.
Following the results of the competition, Vladislav earned the right to represent the Kaliningrad Region at the Russian Competitive Programming Championship in the Product Programming discipline.
The championship final will take place on 18 October in Krasnoyarsk at Siberian Federal University.
The Product Programming discipline differs from classic algorithmic programming: participants must complete the full lifecycle of digital product development—from the initial concept to a working solution—and present it to experts, demonstrating the product's practical value.
This competition format requires not only deep technical knowledge but also project-based thinking, teamwork skills, and the ability to defend one's decisions before industry professionals.
Notably, it is not the first achievement by KSTU students in the field of competitive programming. Taking part in championships of this level allows young professionals to test their abilities in a competitive environment. They also gain valuable experience working on real-world problems, which directly contributes to their professional development and employability.
The university is proud of our students' achievements and wishes Vladislav every success at the Russian Championship.
