Lecturers from the Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture learnt to operate the GANK gas analyser
As part of the upgrade to the material and technical infrastructure required to deliver the Master’s programme in specialization Climate and Environmental Security, lecturers from the Water Bioresources and Aquaculture Department participated in training to operate the modern GANK gas analyser.
Mastering this new equipment has marked an important stage in the development of the department’s teaching and laboratory infrastructure. The GANK gas analyser enables highly accurate environmental monitoring of atmospheric air. The device has already been delivered to the department and will shortly be used for both teaching and scientific research.
For Master’s students of the Ecology and Natural Resource Management programme, it opens up additional opportunities for practical training. The Climate and Environmental Security programme focuses on training specialists capable of assessing and minimising negative environmental impacts, taking into account global climate change.
Working with real analytical equipment during laboratory and practical sessions enables students to master modern methods of environmental monitoring, which are in high demand within environmental protection agencies, industrial enterprises and scientific organisations.
According to representatives of the department, the use of the GANK gas analyser in the teaching process will significantly broaden graduates’ practical competencies and enhance their competitiveness in the labour market within the fields of environmental monitoring and ensuring climate and environmental security.
