Representatives from the Power Engineering Department participated in the Mashuk forum
The 17th All-Russian Mashuk Youth Forum has come to a close in Pyatigorsk, hosted by the Mashuk Knowledge Centre. This large-scale event, which brought together 1,000 young professionals, researchers and leaders from across Russia, was attended by D.K. Kugucheva, a lecturer in the Power Engineering Department, and Viktor Vasyura, a third-year student specialising in Electroenergetics and Electrical Engineering.
The Mashuk forum, part of the Rosmolodezh.Forums platform, has traditionally been one of the country’s key educational platforms. The event was organised by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) and the Government of the Stavropol Krai, with expert support from the Russian Academy of Education (RAO), as part of the national Youth and Children project.
Following a strict competitive selection process, delegates from our university were among those selected to participate in the second session.
D.K. Kugucheva worked in the Scientists track. This track brought together young researchers and higher education lecturers to discuss the values of modern science and to develop scientific and methodological solutions for higher education.
Viktor Vasyura represented the university in the Creators track (as part of the All-Russian student project Your Move). The track’s programme focused on the development of student self-governance, project-based activities, teamwork and the implementation of youth initiatives within the university environment.
In addition to a comprehensive theoretical component, the forum’s programme included practice-orientated masterclasses, meetings with federal experts, and various educational intensives.
“Taking part in forums of this scale is not only an opportunity to represent our university at the national level but also a powerful stimulus for professional growth. The new student engagement methodologies, experience shared by colleagues from leading research centres, and fresh project ideas will definitely be applied to the teaching and research activities of our department,” the delegation members noted.
