On 10 July, the Institute of Agricultural Engineering and Food Systems at KSTU hosted a ceremony to award higher education diplomas. This academic year, 99 graduates from eight bachelor's degree programmes and four master's degree programmes received their diplomas at the institute.

The solemn ceremony was opened with a welcoming address by the acting rector of KSTU, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor A.G. Mnatsakanyan. Thereafter, he awarded 27 master's and bachelor's degree diplomas with distinction.

The Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, V.I. Ustich, Candidate of Engineering Sciences, and the Director of the Institute of Agricultural Engineering and Food Systems, V.V. Verkhoturov, Doctor of Biological Sciences, continued handing out the diplomas. The heads of the graduating departments — A.S. Barkova, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences; O.Ya. Mezenova, Doctor of Engineering Sciences; and I.M. Titova, Candidate of Engineering Sciences — also delivered words of encouragement.

Additionally, the graduates received supplementary standardised documents: advanced training certificates, certificates of a worker's profession, certificates of a civil servant status and/or diplomas of additional professional education.

Creative performances by the graduates of 2026 from the Institute of Agricultural Engineering and Food Systems added a festive touch to the ceremony. Tamila Aliyeva performed the symbolic composition A Million Voices, and Ekaterina Ershova and Violetta Shcheglova expressed their gratitude to the entire academic staff of the institute by performing a song they had written themselves.

University activists also took to the stage on behalf of the graduates to express their gratitude to the institute’s academic staff and other employees:

— Daria Demkina, agronomist;

— Tamila Aliyeva, veterinary and sanitary expert — winner of the regional Student of the Year 2025 competition in the Creative Personality of the Year category;

— biotechnologist Vadim Karlov, KSTU Activist of the Year-2025, finalist in the student league of the CASE-IN-2025 International Engineering Championship, and winner of various scientific competitions.

The highlight of the ceremony was Vadim Karlov’s marriage proposal to his fiancée Anna, who had flown in from Moscow to support him on this important day.

We congratulate all the 2026 graduates of the Institute of Agricultural Engineering and Food Systems on this significant occasion and wish them every success in their professional careers!
