Institute of Industry-Based Economics and Management became the venue for the 11th International Biennale “Baltic Design ‘2026”
A project-based intensive course on participatory design started at the institute. The Kaliningrad branch of the Russian Designers Association organised the festival.
This approach helps students showcase their talents and influence the development and improvement of their hometowns.
Three mixed teams of students from KSTU and Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University (IKBFU) joined their efforts to develop unique concepts for the improvement of the urban environment in the town of Bagrationovsk.
Curators of the teams are O.B. Ilyina, Candidate of Economic Sciences and lecturer at KSTU, and E.A. Baldina, an artist, colourist, lecturer at IKBFU, and member of the Russian Designers Association.
Today, Preussisch-Eylau Castle will host the presentation and defence of the students' work. Following the competition, the best concepts will be considered by the local authorities for further implementation within the Bagrationovsk district!
We wish the students every inspiration and look forward to seeing their original solutions!
