Yesterday, the organisers held a roundtable discussion called Continuous Training Pathway for Specialists to Meet the Needs of the USC Yantar Shipyard in the conference hall of the Yantar Shipyard. The event brought together representatives of the regional Ministry of Education’s officials, United Shipbuilding Corporation’s (USC) human resources departments, directors of educational institutions at various levels, and other relevant specialists.

The KSTU delegation also took part in the round table, including Acting Director of the Institute of Marine Technologies, Power Engineering and Construction D.M. Borodulin and Director of the Scientific and Educational Centre of Shipbuilding, Maritime Infrastructure and Equipment at KSTU E.A. Chureev. The Acting Rector A.G. Mnatsakanyan headed the university group.

Roundtable participants discussed issues related to cooperation between educational institutions at various stages of training future specialists for enterprises of the United Shipbuilding Corporation. They also explored opportunities for further professional development and improving the educational level of employees through specialised universities and colleges in the Kaliningrad Region.

At the roundtable meeting, E.A. Chureev, Director of the Scientific and Educational Centre of Shipbuilding, Maritime Infrastructure and Equipment at KSTU, delivered a presentation on training specialists through the Factory - Technical University system, addressing both the challenges and prospects of this approach.

As part of the event, the administrations of the USC Yantar and the university signed an agreement on joint activities. The Acting Rector A.G. Mnatsakanyan and I.S. Samarin, General Director of JSC PSZ Yantar, signed the agreement.

Ilya Sergeyevich then presented Albert Gurghenovich with a letter of appreciation “For organizing long-term fruitful cooperation in the field of personnel training.”
