On January 27, 2023, a round table "Interethnic and interfaith relations among the youth: formation of a culture of communication and interaction" was held at the Spiritual and Educational Cultural Center of Muslims in Kaliningrad. Students, staff and teachers from Kaliningrad State Technical University took part in its work.

The meeting was moderated by the director of the Center for Adaptation and Socialization of Migrants Sh.R. Rashidov. Reports were made by the chief imam of the Kaliningrad region A.P. Kadimagomedov, Deputy Head of the Center for Combating Extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kaliningrad Region A.V. Zagoskin, Director of the Educational and Methodological Center for the Prevention of Terrorism of the I.Kant BFU M.V. Avakyan.

KSTU was represented by the professor of the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Studies V.A. Shakhov and the head of the Center for Research and Preservation of the Historical Heritage of Higher Fisheries Education E.R. Itbaev. Their reports were devoted to the diversity of peoples and cultures in Russia, as well as their relationships within our country; and the historical stages in the development of Russian culture.

The meeting was also attended by foreign students of KSTU from Afghanistan, Morocco and Tunisia. All participants agreed on the relevance of the round table issues and the need for close work with young people to adapt and develop tolerance in interethnic and interfaith relations. As a result of the conversation, it was decided to continue such meetings.
